Patience is a virtue and I am not very virtuous

Today began the long, hard, long editing process. I spent the first 45 minutes of class trying to download my individual takes to my editing app and fit them together. I chose to go with iMovie, as I have little to no prior editing experience. As this year continues, I can see myself becoming more versed in editing and using  more complex software. For now, I'm happy with what's easiest. Once I finally downloaded the videos to iMovie, I had to try every one out, seeing which looked best with the next scene. I got that down pat and began working on transitions. The transitions took up a sizable amount of time. I actually had to spend a majority of the class outside in the hot sun so that I could receive cell service. The classroom doesn't have any! While standing and sweating out there, I was able to figure everything out. I tested out every single type of every single style of transition from part to part. I believe I have only two scenes that aren't separated by anything other than a gentle jumpcut. For next class, I have to begin scoring. In between now and then, I will start researching how to (il)legally download music to use in my commercial. I also want to find a way to put a "sticker" on the screen before fading to black. I want it to display the aldo logo.
